DG ITF VISITS GHIF/GVCS
Director General Industrial Training Fund , Dr Hafiz Oluwatoyin Ogun paid an official visit to our Abuja office today ( 24th September)
He was on inspection visit to present certificates to 26 beneficiaries of ITF Skill Up Artisans (SUPA) Training Program conducted by Graceland Vocational School in collaboration with ITF
The DG who was accompanied by top management staff was received on arrival by the Executive Director, GHIF Chief Lambert Oparah and CEO Graceland Vocational School, Ms Blessing Efulefu.
Welcoming the DG, Executive Director GHIF Chief Oparah thanked him for the opportunity given to GVS to offer the training program which he said has been very successful.
He explained that the GVS is working hard to secure a permanent office in Abuja to reach out to a greater number of people in skill acquisition.
A similar training program he said was also organised by the school this month in Kuje Area council, FCT.
CEO GVS Ms Blessing Efulefu expressed delight with the visit of the DG ITF which she said will further straighten the relationship between the two organizations.
The DG praised the efforts of the GVS and urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the knowledge of acquired to better their lives.
The DG later presented certificates of participation to the graduating students.
Milestones of GHIF

Golden Hope International Foundation, in partnership with Graceland Vocational and Creative School (GVCS), successfully recorded a major collaborative success when 20 beneficiaries of the skill acquisition program of the GVCS graduands received their certificates in bag making.
The program, which is organised under the auspices of the Kuje Area Council, FCT, and the Palace of His Royal Highness, the Gomo of Kuje, was hosted by the Yagongwo College of Nursing and Midwifery, Kuje.
Speaking at the occasion, Founder/CEO of Golden Hope International Foundation, Chief Mrs. Beatrice Ngozi Mbaocha (Olaedo), explained that the training was the first phase of the lined-up projects by GHIF and GVCS to empower the local community in Abuja.
She called on the benefitting students to make good use of the skills acquired during their training to be self-reliant.
The CEO of GVCS, Ms. Blessing Efulefu, noted that the three-week intensive training covered both practical and theoretical work. She commended the Board and management of GHIF for their support. The GVCS CEO said the programme was intended to provide the participants with skills to start small-scale businesses on their own.
Managing Director of Yagongwo College of Nursing and Midwifery, Dr. Adamu Jatau Noma, commended GVCS and GHIF for bringing entrepreneurial skills to the doorsteps of the community. He promised to make the college hall for future events.
The Gomo of Kuje, represented by the District Head of Yabaji, commended GHIF for assisting the Area Council by training the youths to engage in meaningful activities.
Executive Director of GHIF, Chief Lambert Oparah, called for more collaborative programs, urging the Area Council to institutionalise the relationship between the council and GHIF by providing a permanent site for future trainings.
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)
Earlier, Yagongwo College of Nursing and Midwifery and Golden Hope International Foundation (GHIF) signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for collaborations.
Signing the document, Chief Mrs. Ngozi Mbaocha, Founder of GHIF, applauded the move as a giant step towards a mutually beneficial deal between the College and the Foundation.
She commended the management of the College for the confidence reposed in GHIF, promising that the Foundation will live up to the terms of the agreement.
Managing Director of Yagongwo College, who led a management team to the occasion, was optimistic that the MOU would enhance the overall quality of training in the College.
Dr. Noma said he was satisfied with the performance of GHIF so far in the past few months of interaction. He pledged to work with GHIF in line with the MOU.
The Executive Director of GHIF, Chief Lambert Oparah, and the CEO of GVCS, Ms. Blessing Efulefu, accompanied the Founder at the signing ceremony.
The MOU, which covers areas of roles and responsibilities, will take a four-year cycle for review.
In a separate event, the Founder of GHIF, Mrs. Ngozi Mbaocha, spoke at the passing-out training programme on entrepreneurship by students of Yagongwo College.
With great applause from the students, she spoke on the need for them to embrace the new way of doing things in their profession.
Mrs. Mbaocha later made some cash donations to the students who displayed some of the items they produced from the training.
