Golden Hope Foundation provides assistance to help people achieve or gain access to health treatment, prevention, care, and support. We coordinate and direct to experts and authorities responsible for providing leadership in global health matters to help minimize the worldwide burden when it comes to problems with infectious diseases. We do this by generating health policies and practices, and provide support on medical tools and equipment needed to optimize the health of the children, youth, and families in our community.

Hope 4 Her project initiative- Advocacy and Education to end Period Poverty!

Our Hope 4 Her project initiative provides menstrual health management education workshops in schools, churches and women circles with donation of period supplies.

Menstruation is a natural physiological process and rite of passage to womanhood that most women experience during their reproductive years. However, shame, stigma and lack of adequate knowledge of menstrual hygiene management (MHM) constitute both public health and human right challenges for menstruators and society at large.  According to the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) (2012), they define menstrual hygiene management (MHM) as Women and adolescent girls using clean sanitary material to absorb or collect menstrual blood, that can be changed in privacy as often as necessary for the duration of a menstrual period. WHO &UNICEF (2012) further iterate that adequate menstrual hygiene management practice include using soap and water to wash the body as required, and having access to safe and convenient facilities to dispose of used menstrual management materials during menstruation. Understanding the determinants of menstrual hygiene management best practices will guide inform policy implementation that will address the unmet needs of menstruators. We believe that utilizing an integrated approach will bridge the inequity gap in menstrual health management.

Project Lunch – A school Lunch Initiative:

School lunch is very important to student health and well-being, especially for students in low- and middle-income communities. Providing school lunch ensures that students have nutrition they need to learn and studies indicate that shows that school lunches reduce food insecurity, obesity rates, and poor health.
